As for the deluxe edition of the Halloween-themed Danse Macabre — a collection of re-imagined originals, new songs, and covers — Duran Duran have added seven additional tracks to the collection, including the cover of Evil Woman and a re-imagined take of their own New Moon on Monday.
“This year, the inspiration was somehow still lingering,” commented keyboardist Nick Rhodes in a press release, “and I loved the idea of expanding the collection, because we could… Why not add some of the songs that we considered initially now that we had the luxury of a little more time? This thought resulted in another new song, a cover of the ELO classic, Evil Woman, and a remake of New Moon on Monday’”
The new De Luxe version will be released on CD and as a special 3LP deluxe vinyl box set – available only on the band’s official store. The Halloween inspired box set includes a spirit board, metal planchette, bespoke tarot cards, four art prints, and a booklet.
Danse Macabre De Luxe will also be released on Blu-Ray audio via Super Deluxe Edition. The Blu-Ray audio edition is initially limited to 1,500 copies.
