Despite grappling with a shoulder injury over the past two months, Alexander participated fully in Wednesday’s practice. Coach Matt LaFleur refrained from providing specific details about Alexander’s role in the upcoming game against the Chicago Bears as the Packers aim to secure a playoff berth with a victory.
While serving the suspension, Alexander missed the opportunity to face Pro Bowl receiver Justin Jefferson in the game against the Minnesota Vikings, which the Packers won convincingly with a score of 33-10. Alexander acknowledged his surprise at the severity of the suspension, expecting a fine instead.
Despite his status as one of the Packers’ top players, having secured a lucrative contract extension in May 2022, Alexander has faced challenges this season, playing in only six of the 16 games. He dealt with a back injury during the initial months, followed by a six-game absence due to a shoulder problem. The suspension further interrupted his playing time.
