In January, Aston Villa are reportedly looking for two new attackers.

According to a recent Football Insider report, Unai Emery’s top priority once the mid-season transfer window opens is to bolster his attacking line.

Despite Ollie Watkins’ excellent form this season, in which he has scored 13 goals in his first 23 games, Villa are keen to provide the Torquay-born striker with some much-needed competition.

Oscar Gloukh, a youngster from RB Salzburg, is thought to be near the top of Emery’s list. Following an impressive debut, the Villa manager has taken notice of the 19-year-old.

Gloukh, who was signed by Salzburg just a year ago, has eight goals and seven assists in 41 games across all competitions.

And, with Villa’s owners set to back their manager ahead of what could be a fairytale second half of the season, fans can expect to see some new faces on the team’s roster.
