Nebraska Cornhuskers Players Involved in Serious Car Accident
Lincoln, NE – Tragedy struck the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team yesterday when two players were involved in a serious car accident.
Senior linebacker, Ernest Jenkins, and junior wide receiver, Ryan Walker, were traveling on Interstate 80 when their vehicle lost control and crashed into a median.
According to authorities, Jenkins suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg and concussions, while Walker sustained minor injuries, including cuts and bruises.
Both players were rushed to Bryan Medical Center, where they are receiving treatment.
“We are deeply concerned about the well-being of Ernest and Ryan,” said Head Coach Matt Rhule. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families during this challenging time.”
The accident’s cause is under investigation.
The Cornhuskers have canceled today’s practice and will hold a team meeting to address the situation.
The university has also offered counseling services to players and staff.
