Detroit, MI – A disturbing incident occurred early yesterday morning when three Detroit Lions players were involved in a car accident on Interstate 96.
According to Michigan State Police, the players – wide receiver Jameson Williams, linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, and safety Kerby Joseph – were traveling in a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe when the vehicle lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
Fortunately, all three players sustained only minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“We are grateful that our players are safe and uninjured,” said Lions Head Coach Dan Campbell. “Our primary concern is their well-being, and we will provide any necessary support.”
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but authorities suspect speeding and wet road conditions contributed to the crash.
- The Lions organization has not announced whether the players will participate in the upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers.
