Nottingham Forest boss Nuno responds to Eddie Nketiah transfer question amid talks

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has given little away about the possibility of Nottingham Forest signing Eddie Nketiah before next week’s transfer deadline.
The Reds are keen to strengthen their forward ranks before the summer window closes at 11pm on August 30. A bid for Nketiah has already been rejected, but talks have continued to take place over a potential move for the Arsenal striker.
There was a predictable response from Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo when the subject of transfers came up in his pre-match press conference.
Attempts to wrangle out of the Portuguese any information about the Reds’ pursuit of Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah largely met a dead end. It was never going to be any other way – even if one particular question did provoke a wry smile when the reply was delivered.
One inquisitor began: “I know you won’t speak about a specific player who is not at Nottingham Forest Football Club.” Nuno quickly quipped: “Correct, so why even ask?!”
