Blues have been linked with England youth international goalkeeper James Beadle, according to reports.
Beadle is currently on loan from Brighton to Oxford United, who are third in League One. In 24 appearances across all competitions, he has kept 9 clean sheets.
He signed a new contract with Brighton in the summer until June 2026, demonstrating how highly regarded he is by the club.
Blues and Sheffield Wednesday have both expressed an interest in loaning Beadle for the remainder of the season. Brighton may recall him and loan him out to a championship team to further his development, according to speculation.
Brighton has a recall option on his loan at Oxford United, and the Blues will almost certainly look for a goalkeeper who fits Wayne Rooney’s playing style.
