Joe Mixon, a former Cincinnati Bengals running back, is allegedly signing an extension with the Houston Texans just one day after the two teams’ trade was approved.
On Wednesday, the Bengals announced Mixon’s trade, ending his seven-year stay with the franchise.
On Thursday, ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported that Mixon has signed a three-year, $27 million deal extension with the Texans.
According to a source, new Texans running back Joe Mixon has signed a three-year, $27 million deal extension, with Houston guaranteeing $13 million of it.

The 27-year-old Mixon, a seven-year Bengals veteran, was an integral part of the team’s previous two postseason runs.
Mixon reached 1,000 yards rushing in a season four times with the Bengals and has 62 total touchdowns in his career, including a career season in 2021 when he ran for 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns as the Bengals advanced to the Super Bowl.
On Wednesday, Mixon took to social media to bid farewell to Cicinnati and Bengals fansn.
