Brighton’s head of medical and performance, Adam Brett, has left the Premier League club, according to Mail Sport.
Brett has become an important member of the club’s backroom staff since their promotion to the Premier League in 2017, working alongside Nathan Jones, Chris Hughton, Graham Potter, and current head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
However, it is believed that the highly regarded medical practitioner has recently left the Amex Stadium.
The circumstances surrounding Brett’s departure have not been confirmed, as the matter is considered private.
Brighton have advertised for a new first-team doctor to join De Zerbi’s staff, but sources say this is unrelated to Brett’s departure.
Brett began working at Brighton in February 2014 as the head physiotherapist.
Later that year, he was promoted to the position of director of medical services.
In June 2020, Brett was named head of medical and performance.
Prior to joining Brighton, he worked as a senior physiotherapist for the Rugby Football Union and Gloucester Rugby.
