We reported on December 6th that west ham united have joined the race to sign VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, and that the Hammers are ‘intensively’ considering making an offer for the 27-year-old. Bild has now discussed West Ham’s interest and the Bundesliga side’s stance on selling the striker.
According to reports, David Moyes’ side is among those interested in signing the player in January.
The Europa Conference League champions have received a boost after it was revealed that Guirassy will be ‘allowed to leave’ the German club next month, taking advantage of his €20 million release clause.
In addition, Stuttgart is preparing for his possible departure next month behind the scenes. They’ve even identified Augsburg’s Dion Drena Beljo as a possible replacement.
According to Bild, negotiations between West Ham and the camp of the Guinea international are still ongoing. There is a deal to be done in the winter market for a ‘bargain price’ of around €20m if they take the necessary steps.
Guirassy has 18 goals and two assists through 14 games this season.
