Sherrone Moore, aged 37, has been named the new head football coach for the University of Michigan in Detroit.
His official introduction occurred during a press conference on Saturday following the announcement made on Friday. This decision came two days after Jim Harbaugh departed to coach the Los Angeles Chargers.
Moore, who previously served as the offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator, filled in for Harbaugh during two suspensions in the 2023 season, achieving a 4-0 record, which included victories over Ohio State and Penn State. This move follows the Wolverines’ resurgence from a 2-4 season in 2021.
