Michigan offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore is the frontrunner to replace Harbaugh…

Sherrone Moore, the current offensive coordinator for Michigan, is the leading candidate to take over for Harbaugh.

Michigan’s offensive coordinator, Sherrone Moore, is the leading candidate to succeed Jim Harbaugh, who recently accepted the head coaching position with the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh, instrumental in securing Michigan’s first national championship since 1997, will be returning to the NFL. Moore, who has been with the Wolverines since 2018 and was promoted to sole offensive coordinator before the 2023 season, is reportedly the top choice for the coaching position.

According to Chris Low of ESPN, Moore is expected to be offered the job unless unforeseen circumstances arise. Despite the challenge of Harbaugh’s departure, the Wolverines may find continuity in promoting someone already familiar to fans, as Moore is well-regarded in Ann Arbor.
