Ty Bracey called the decision not to send Antoine Semenyo off for Bournemouth against Aston Villa a “shambles.”
..In the 2-2 tie on Sunday, December 3, the 23-year-old winger tugged the shirt of Villa winger Leon Bailey. Although a foul was called, referee Thomas Brammall chose not to show him a second yellow card.
Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher declared the Cherries winger was the “luckiest man in Bournemouth not to be sent off” after the incident, calling it the incorrect call on Sky Sports’ Ref Watch.
Bracey called for greater uniformity across the board, saying that the refereeing “hasn’t been great” in the top division this season.
Bracey remarked exclusively to Villa News, “It’s a shambles.” Again, you may lose games because of those kinds of things, so naturally, I’m not too thrilled about it.
However, things have a “roundabout” swing; there will be moments when things work out well for us and others when they don’t. To be honest, a little bit disappointed.
“The quality of officiating hasn’t been very high.” It’s clear that you experienced the Haaland affair, which was a complete mess.
“Don’t get me wrong, I have some sympathy for the referees, but they must have the necessary training to carry out their duties effectively.
“They must be fired if they are unable to carry out their duties effectively. It applies to all jobs equally. To be honest, it’s just idiocy; we all have jobs to perform. All that is needed is some uniformity, which would be pleasant.
