Minnesota Twins to Pay €500,000 to Former Pitching Coach
Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Twins have agreed to pay €500,000 to former pitching coach, Wes Johnson, following a contract dispute.
According to sources, Johnson claimed the Twins breached his contract by failing to provide adequate resources for the pitching staff.

Twins’ Statement:
“We’re pleased to resolve this matter amicably,” said General Manager Thad Levine. “We appreciate Wes’s contributions to our organization.”
Johnson’s Response:
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the Twins,” Johnson said. “This settlement brings closure.”
Johnson, now with the Texas Rangers, had been instrumental in developing the Twins’ pitching staff.
This settlement allows the Twins to focus on their 2024 season, currently ranked 2nd in the AL Central.
