The Reds go into the top of the table clash sitting third in the table, three points behind Nigel Clough’s leaders.

Second placed Stockport County are one point ahead of Wrexham with a game in hand while MK Dons in fourth are three behind Phil Parkinson’s men having played a game more, with Crewe Alexandra and Barrow also challenging for a top-three finish.

Wrexham’s destiny remains in their own hands with seven fixtures remaining and Mullin, leading scorer with 18 goals this term, won’t be side-tracked by what happens elsewhere going down the final straight.

“I just concentrate on us and our performances, and how we do,” said Mullin, who is three goals short of the century mark for the club.

“It is not going to be as simple as that, it’s going to be a really tough challenge but everyone is going to be up for the fight in our changing room.

“It is going to be a really exciting end to the season but I don’t worry about the other teams, just concentrate on ourselves.”

Wrexham only picked up one point from a possible six in their last two home games but returned to winning ways by beating Grimsby Town 3-1 at Blundell Park last Saturday.

Mullin refuses to get carried away knowing more victories are needed in the quest for a second successive promotion.

“It is all about winning now at this stage of the season,” he said. “It is at any stage but even more importantly now.

“It was a good win for us against Grimsby but as I have said all season, we don’t get carried away.

“The end goal is to get promoted but that doesn’t happen unless you win the games that are coming thick and fast, and that starts with Mansfield.”

Another sell-out crowd will be at The Racecourse for Wrexham’s eagerly awaited clash with Mansfield which is also being televised live on Sky Sports.

It promises to be another special occasion and electric atmosphere but that has become the norm for Mullin and his team-mates at the iconic north Wales stadium.

“That’s something we are used to,” added the 29-year-old.

“It’s some occasion at The Racecourse every week these days and has been for the last three years so it’s nothing new for us.
