Scott Minto, on the Premier League All Access Podcast, expressed his belief that Enzo Fernandez, currently at Chelsea, would thrive in a more established footballing environment and suggested that a team like Arsenal would be a better fit for him.

Minto shared his evaluation of the 22-year-old Argentine, stating, “I think Fernandez is a really good player; he’s technically brilliant. I think if he were to come into an already slick side, say a City or even an Arsenal or Liverpool, the numbers would be a lot better. I think at times last season he was carrying the team. His numbers aren’t good, and he needs to step it up as much as possible, but we’ve been saying that for the past 18 months about Chelsea, haven’t we?”

Despite acknowledging Fernandez’s talent, Minto emphasized that the player’s current statistics might not reflect his full potential due to the ongoing issues at Chelsea. He believes that in a more established and coherent team, Fernandez could truly showcase his abilities and contribute more effectively.

While Chelsea has faced challenges and inconsistency in recent times, Minto sees potential for Fernandez to shine if the team improves gradually under Mauricio Pochettino. Fernandez, at 22 years old, still has time to develop and make a positive impact at Chelsea, and Minto hopes that the player’s quality will continue to emerge and receive the recognition he deserves in the future.
